Kulaura Degree College was established in June 1, 1969. During that time there were no academic institute in the region. That is why since then the this institution contribute in the education sector. The land size of this college is around 5 acres. In the college territory it has three storied science faculty, three storied arts faculty, one semi structured administrative building, three academic buildings, one hostel, one mashjid. Other then this in the college premises they have football field, pond, trees and so on. The alumni’s of this colleges are well established and hold different top position in the organizations. Alumnies of this college are well established in academics, politics, medicine, and business in profession. Currently more than thousands of students are studying in this college in BA Hons, BSC Hons, BBS and HSC level in Science, Arts, Commerce. The success of this college is noticeable and it is a pride of all the residence of Kulaura. In 2007 in HSC examination this college hold 8th position in Sylhet Board. A good number of young energetic teachers is the main source of knowledge power. From next education year this college will start bachelors. Ex finance minister Late Saifur Rahman, Ex education minister Dr. Osman Faruq and many other top officials visited this college.
